We are delighted to have 2 enthusiastic and helpful students of Carlow IT with us this summer for work placement. Daniel O’Reilly and Steve Cullen have joined us for 4 months as part of their Bachelor Honours degree in QS & Construction and Facilities Management course.

They are working alongside the Chartered QS’s here in the office in Enniscorthy to gain real experience and see how a career as a QS could work for them after they complete final year shortly.

The type of work they are involved in is measuring, preparing quotations and Bill of Quantities as well as cost plans.

Every year McGrath QS take in students to help them with their studies and career. A previous summer work placement student, Patrick Hickey, joined us after college and is now a qualified QS and a very valuable member of our team.

We wish Daniel and Steve all the best with their final year studies, and we hope to see them back here as QS’s in the future.
